I receive more speaking invitations and requests for information on Creative Trust’s collaborative arts fundraising initiatives than on any other topic. The just-released Collaborative Fundraising Tool Kit provides details on both the Endowment fundraising campaign (which raised $1.4 million in a collective effort by 23 arts organizations) and the Working Capital for the Arts capital campaign (which raised almost $7 million to eliminate deficits and build the sustainability of Toronto’s creative music, theatre and dance companies.) This Tool Kit explains how these campaigns were conceived, carried out, and communicated: from early strategic documents to cases for support, it provides ideas and templates for fundraising collaborations both large and small.
I’ve been delighted to receive very positive feedback from users of the Board and Governance Tool Kit; Exploring the Feasibility; Developing the Organization; Expanding the Mandate; and Grants and Awards Processes. It’s wonderful to see creative new ideas being sparked by, and built upon, previous arts community successes – like Creative Trust.
