After some necessary relaxation time this summer, and a break from blogging (did you miss us?), we’re gearing up for the new season. This fall and early winter brings Donna Walker Kuhne September 27th and 28th, the release of our Performing Arts Education Overview and the beginning of a series of arts education workshops and other activities to be confirmed.

Keynote presentation
September 27th 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
We all want to diversify our audiences and bring new people into our performances and events. This Keynote presentation is geared to any and all from the community from front of house and box office staff to General Managers and Boards of Directors. Donna will discuss her strategies and methods for engaging diverse communities as participants in arts and culture.
Hands on workshops
Geared towards those who will carry out the work back in their organization, the Marketing Managers, Outreach and Education and Audience Relations Managers three small hands on workshops will be offered over September 27 and 28th. Limited to Groups of 25 participants these workshops will give participants the opportunity to work with Donna and together to shape their audience diversification plans for the coming season. Participants should come with a show or project in mind that they want to diversify. Workshops will run September 27th 2:00 to 4:30 p.m., September 28th 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.
